Telling the Time - Friday 30th July

This week, we have been practising telling the time using analogue and digital clocks. We have tried really hard to tell the time and now all children in Year 3 can accurately tell the time on an analogue clock. We then moved on to telling the time using a digital clock. Once we got used to reading the time on a digital clock, we used 'Stop the Clock' as a way of challenging our new knowledge. We started a leader board in class and so far the quickest time is 16 seconds!! We really enjoyed learning to tell the time this week!

Can you beat our time of 16 seconds? Click on the picture below to have a go at beating our time.

Salt Dough - Friday 23rd June 2017

As part of our DT topic 'The Great Bread Off,' we used salt dough to practise kneading and shaping our dough. We have previously planned the shapes we were going to use, ensuring they met our class criteria. Practising our shapes has helped us improve our designs as some were too tricky to create. We had lots of fun getting our hands messy and we cannot wait until the day we make bread! Here are some pictures of the children making their salt dough.

 English - Monday 19th June 2017

Last week, we planned our imaginary stories. We have been reading Fantastic Mr Fox and have used some of Roald Dahl's ideas to support our own stories. Here are some examples of the work we have produced so far.
